How can you advertise your rental so that it appeals to students?
With over 400,000 students renting in London alone, there is a real demand for student accommodation. Student housing is scarce right now, and there has been a recorded shortage of availability. You may think this means that you can cut corners when it comes to renting your property to students, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. We’ve pulled together a list of the key points to help you appeal to students.
- Take excellent and consistent photography. Take at least 5, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. If you can photograph every bedroom, if they all differ in size and appearance, this will also encourage students’ decision-making.
- Include all relevant information at the start of your description, including parking, washing facilities, and locale to any local facilities and supermarkets.
- Be sure to include extras and costs. Are wifi and bills included, and is there an added charge for parking?
- Keep everything current. Update your advertising after each tenant, particularly if you have recently upgraded the property.
