Protecting our Roome community is our highest priority. All new members verify their accounts using unique university credentials, ensuring full member access is restricted to genuine students only. To prevent unwanted messages, our chat feature operates strictly on a permission-only basis, meaning you will never receive unsolicited messages from strangers. Behind the scenes, we follow a strict data processing policy, perform regular security penetration tests, and maintain compliant data privacy protection at all times. Your data is never sold, and we continuously monitor and update our security practices to keep all members safe.

We scan thousands of available properties, covering trusted online sources and exclusive student-only partners, to help you find the perfect ‘place’ match, no matter which UK university campus you’re heading to. Our listings are refreshed daily to keep everything as up-to-date as possible, though during busy seasons, things can move quickly!

If you’re an approved student accommodation provider and want to share your listings with Roome users, we’d love to hear from you. Plus, the Roome community itself can list spare rooms for free, making it easy for students to find verified, genuine replacements if their plans change or they’re a housemate down. Spare room listings are always totally free for our Roome students.
